So Associated Producers from Canada under its Emmy Award winning director, managed to complete fortunately the final leg of the shoot pre ‘Covid Pandemic’ we knew not back then as 2019 came to end how the world was about to irreversibly change, and not for the best by any means. Enslaved was a series hosted by Samuel L Jackson charting the hard hitting movement of human slavery around the globe of Africans, many who died at sea & those who didnt were bound into servitude in their millions. A hard hitting part of history covered in the series in a no hold bared look at this black history & how inequality tethered these souls to far off lands treated less than humanely by immoral white slavers. The show aired in the UK on BBC2 & also North America & Canada. My role was assistant producer & also fixer for the production ( UK leg )
